If you are thinking of auto-locking pliers. Sounds like a good idea. After all that fuss, of course, the correct setting of the vice is convenient. In theory, that should solve everything. Well it is but you can buy 3 clip/lock pliers costing $$ for these or Strong Hands. I'm glad I bought them, but most likely won't order again. Thanks to the locking system and the automatic adjustment mechanism, the handles of the pliers open very wide. I have medium hands and can be tricky to handle which defeats the purpose a bit.
