Works as advertised. . . for about 1/3 the price of an Apple 4x adapter. Good low profile when fitted. UPDATE: Changed my rating due to long-term use. The retention on the USB-C ports (connecting the adapter to the computer) is very poor. If you move the computer at all, you run the risk of turning everything off (which cost me more than once hours when processing video from an external drive). If they could solve this memory problem that would be great, but it's garbage the way it is. After having to glue it to my new $3,500 MacBook Pro to complete the project on a tight schedule, I realized how stupid (cheap) I was and bought the right adapter.
