I am very satisfied with this product. My husband and I moved from Oregon to Pennsylvania where we raised a cat. We decided for everyone's convenience to install this barrier and call the hold the cat's journey home. I've spent a lot of time reading reviews and weighing the pros and cons of this product with others; I ultimately chose this product based on the price, reviews, and how well it met our needs. Almost all are designed for dogs, so we needed something that could handle a 7-pound cat for 3,500 miles. . It worked like a dream. The barrier fitted snugly and snugly, and the insulation (combined with the zips placed at specific points on the barrier) didn't rattle, even when we rode through rocky sections. I wish it had taken me a little longer to set up the barrier to better suit our needs. I managed to avoid most of the gap issues with the extra parts provided, but there was still a relatively large gap at the top (the cat eventually figured it out) and gaps large enough on the sides for the cat to squeeze through can. We could improvise by filling in the gaps in the mantle, but it would be nice to avoid that. But since it was designed for larger animals, I had no problems with it. We didn't use the gear that came with the barrier. As other reviewers have said - it's cheap. We went the zip route as we felt it was a safer option and didn't obstruct our view. It also helped prevent rattling. Regarding the price (including insulation and anchoring) we are very satisfied with our product. I was even able to use additional parts to add a shelf to my cat's cage so that when we bring her in at night she can have her litter box, bed, food and water in her cage without getting sleepy. eat in their litter or in their bed.
