I'm currently working with support to resolve some of my issues. If we can fix some of these issues I will update post a review. Good first. + Great facilities. Reliable WiFi connection. Instant opening and closing without delay. Installation was very easy. And now for the worse. I bought this to use my garage door opener for home automation tasks and most importantly so I can open the garage door automatically when approaching the garage. I was hoping to use Alexa Routine for this. I currently have the Alexa Routine set up to turn on all the lights in the driveway as I approach the house, but when I try to add the garage door to the Routine I see the error "Door locks are not supported with location Routines." " What good is home automation for opening garage doors if I can't automate them? I wish they would introduce the garage door opener feature as something other than a 'lock' as this type of device seems to have so many limitations and limitations, when they try to babysit you about how to use the product and what not.Another problem with Alexa treating the garage door opener as a "lock" is that whenever I try to open the garage door with my voice to open it has to enter a security PIN what a problem so if I want the garage door to open I have to wait for Alexa to ask me to de Say n passcode and Alexa will say the code out loud. It gets tiring very quickly and you can unlock your phone and press a button in the app. Customers should not be forced to use a PIN with a voice command. It has to be a choice. Also when I see the IFTTT integration I don't see any IFTTT routines to open or close the garage door opener. I thought I could have IFTTT procedures to open and close the garage door and then access those procedures from SmartThings, but that doesn't seem possible. So the hardware is great, but the Alexa and home automation integration is really useless. for my needs. I would like to be able to easily control the garage door opener and be able to open the garage door using the Geofenced Alexa method. If I can't automate the opening mechanism or automatically open the garage door with Alexa Routine, what's the point?
