I bought these on a whim from my local auto parts store. I figured they probably wouldn't do what they say they do, but I'm a gadget lover by nature. When trying to remove the alternator from an old Honda Odyssey, I rounded off the tensioner locknut that was hidden under the alternator and was almost impossible to reach. After unsuccessfully trying everything I could think of, I desperately reached for these outlets. I put the bushing on the rounded nut and removed it! I was amazed that it actually worked! The bushings appear to be normal, but if you look closely you can see that their grip points have been altered somewhat. If all sockets were this design, there would probably be very few rounded brackets. I want them to make a full set of these sockets. Do yourself a favor and buy a set of these outlets.
