I didn't need all the other video controls on the other KVM switches, I hooked up both computers to my big TV across the room and just toggle it with the remote. I just had to change the keyboard and mouse input. Actually I only have to replace one cable because here at Revain I found a really comfortable keyboard with a built in USB hub that I can connect my gaming mouse to, leaving only one cable to worry about . I connected a cable to this AB switch, ran a cable to each computer, and when I switch computers, I just press a button, I hear signals from the monitor that they are recognized and I turn off. It never fails. This device costs less money than those with video switch. I hung it on my end table with industrial velcro, but it was too strong. When I try to take it off, the whole back comes off the device. It's not connected to anything and always on, so you don't have to worry.
