This is the real deal, the Hitchi C10RK Dado Insert.

This is a notch insert for Hitachi C10RJ table saw. It fits perfectly in the table opening. The only difference between a regular insert and a trunnion is that there is no triggering mechanism on the trunnion insert. There's a simple metal clip that holds it in place. Mounting holes are available. So if you had a different standard plate you could offset the trigger. It has a hole for an 8 inch stack. See image.
