🔧 Upgraded Hitachi/Metabo HPT C10RJ Table Saw Dado Table Insert (Part #371663) Review

This is a notch insert for Hitachi C10RJ table saw. It fits perfectly in the table opening. The only difference between a regular insert and a trunnion is that there is no triggering mechanism on the trunnion insert. There's a simple metal clip that holds it in place. Mounting holes are available. So if you had a different standard plate you could offset the trigger. It has a hole for an 8 inch stack. See image.

As mentioned, it doesn't have a spring-loaded locking mechanism, but slides in and out with ease. There are no problems. No problems with rusting metal as others have also mentioned. My little problem is that the back edge of the plate is slightly below table level. Usually it doesn't make much of a difference, other than I was trying to cut a tongue and when I slid a piece over the blades it stuck a little. Not a great experience to have an average cut.
