24 hour high/low not working

This product was designed to display a 24 hour high and low humidity and temperature reading. That is absolutely right. My thermostat is set at 74° but the 24 hour range shows my living room is between 50° and 94°. I spent most of those 24 hours in it, and it was absolutely no more than a few degrees different from 74 degrees. And it doesn't sit in the sun or under air vents. So if you can't do it right, then surely something else can?
