All colors only needed about a minute of continuous shaking for the ink and (I think) mica dust to mix. None of these were sticky or looked like they weren't sealed properly (there are no leaking bottles in my set). All eyedroppers work with no clogs (like some paints I've ordered from Revain) that need to be cleared first. Colors are bright enough but not as dark as I was hoping. Amethyst is particularly pale - more lavender or lilac comes to mind than the true deeper color of amethyst. This ink will bleed through regular paper a little, so either use an absorbent primer on lighter paper or choose heavier paper - 90lbs and up. I use them for both fountain pens and drawing and they clean up my brushes and nibs well with either the Speedball or Dr. PH Martins Bombay. For DIP-PEN users: Constant flow can be an issue, especially with flexible tips. Practice with them first.
