The rug was very beautiful and at a great price for its size/look. The fibers of the carpet didn't seem to shed, the edges were very nice and the carpet stayed in place with no slip protection underneath. Overall I was very happy with the rug when I received it. After just 2 months the wear and tear was very noticeable in an extremely low activity home! We have 3 people in the house (1 adult and 2 small children) and we don't wear shoes around the house (NEVER) and we don't have visitors and this carpet has taken a lot of wear in a very short time. I have noticed that the rug is becoming thinner and thinner, not as soft and fluffy as when it was delivered. I thought maybe it's just me. Until I remodeled my living room and there was a piece of carpet under the sofa which was now exposed and the difference in the carpet was day and night compared to the carpeted floor. Sofa and another part that was open! The area under the sofa was still soft and the colors were still vibrant. The other area had visible wear (almost a lump) and was thin and badly faded. The vacuum cleaner also sounds and sucks differently when it runs over the part of the carpet that was previously covered by the sofa. Only buy this rug if it will be used in a guest room!
