This is a stone for quick cutting, even with 30,000,000,000,000 pieces to add to the collection. It's a real pleasure to work with, the feedback is great and it's a very slow dishwasher stone. Unfortunately after using this stone I have not had an opportunity to see any improvement. I can cut fine hairs in both directions after a 16 carat glass stone and planing, so I don't need this stone. After one use of this stone and its proper and even drying, two microcracks formed on it. Given its high-end status, it shouldn't break easily. However, it is a cool stone.
