This is a stone for quick cutting, even with 30,000,000,000,000 pieces to add to the collection. It's a real pleasure to work with, the feedback is great and it's a very slow dishwasher stone. Unfortunately after using this stone I have not had an opportunity to see any improvement. I can cut fine hairs in both directions after a 16 carat glass stone and planing, so I don't need this stone. After one use of this stone and its proper and even drying, two microcracks formed on it. The best of the best.

I bought this stone from Sharping Supplies and it's a great stone but overpriced. It wears off very slowly, buffing and leaving a ridiculous fringe with wear. However, I smoothed it out with broken DMT DiaFlat lapping pads and while perfectly flat, it scratches the surface of the stone. But the Stone's performance seems unhindered and it's still doing a great job. I try not to smooth those 30,000, but when I do I try to smooth them out with a high grit carbon black and keep using it until the…

You can't go wrong with this stone. Some people might think that 30,000 grit is a bit "overkill" when it comes to sharpening, and that might sound a bit presumptuous.
