I don't get any negative feedback about brittleness. Sure, the material comes across as flimsy, cheap junk when you unbox it, but let me tell you something. I weigh 210 pounds and I sat AND stood on each of my 8 cubes while they were EMPTY and not moving! Then I filled 4 rows with my precious vinyl and they are even stronger! I don't know exactly how much a 15" x 15" cube full of vinyl weighs, but I stacked 3 full cubes on top of a full bottom cube and I didn't feel any movement so wasn't afraid of damaging my precious vinyl . Highly recommended!
