Ok I know the pictures are a bit confusing but if you look closely you can enlarge the label and see how big the vacuum tube actually is so let it look Refer to the sizes and proportions provided by Revain. You can then search Google for a specific vacuum cleaner to get a better idea of the product. I bought a 16"/41cm vacuum, it's big and it was perfect, I don't have to lean that far in my 50 gallon tank anymore. At a little shorter than 16 inches, aka my previous standard -Aqueon gravel cleaner, I literally have to partially squeeze into the aquarium to get to the gravel and thoroughly clean the gravel as I have goldfish and they produce a lot of waste, I understand people saying the suction is not strong is enough, but there are many factors to consider, hose length, vacuum hose length and also the depth of the tank. While it's common to talk about hose length, I'd also like to inform those of you with long hose extensions like me that also reduce suction My aquarium is filled with about 35 gallons, but the 16" (large) gravel cleaner I bought was perfect. I liked that a lot, especially since I no longer have to squeeze into the aquarium to get to the bottom. The suction wasn't as strong as my previous shorter gravel vacuum. @ 12 inches but worth it. It still sucks at medium strength, which is actually pretty good because I don't have to rush as much to make sure all my water doesn't drain before I'm done cleaning my tank. The hose is very soft and flexible, I like it, you don't have to pull as hard as my previous one. Also liked the price, it is definitely a bargain of Python products, buy it.
