Let me start by saying that I never thought I would have an Android tablet. Is always. I've been an Apple fan since 2005. Since then I have 2 iPods, 3 iPhones, 2 Macbook Pros and 1 iPad. I'm very clumsy and keep dropping things. I accidentally dropped my first iPod down the stairs and it still worked. I have found Apple products to be solid and reliable. so far. My iPad, or "Sir, crash-a-lot" as I call it, was a tablet from hell. It worked great for a year, but then it started to fail. I've had Sir Crash-a-lot for three years now. I spent three years saving up for a new iPad. But after saving three years to replace Sir Crash-a-lot, I vowed never to buy an iPad again. Instead, I did what no Apple fan has done before: I bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab. What made me decide to buy this tablet? Apple unreliability. Of course, my iPad's apps were slow. Of course, applications often crashed. But the last straw was that iTunes decided that my Apple account should no longer be linked to my library, split into two parts (old email address and new email address) and not linked to my iPad should. Oh, I should also mention that iTunes removed a lot of music I bought from my tablet because "You don't have permission to access the following files". Android tablets. Knowing several people who loved their Samsung Galaxy phones, I settled on the only tablet I could afford: a refurbished Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite. As soon as I unpacked it, I realized how good this tablet is. Although the size was small (I'm short-sighted and prefer a tablet without reading glasses), I had no trouble reading text on it. The screen colors are better than my iPad or my husband's iPad Mini. The screen changes faster and loads faster than any iOS device I've ever seen. I love all the customizations that come standard with Android. Despite all the great features I love, this tablet isn't without its flaws. Most of the problems people are talking about with it are either due to the slow processor or the rear speaker. Neither is a big problem for me. My biggest problem is the default memory. Of the 8GB, more than 2GB is occupied by the operating system and malicious applications that I will never use (and cannot delete). After installing all the apps I use regularly, I only have 2GB of free space left. It's not that much of one place. Luckily, it has expandable storage. Once I have a good 64GB micro SD card (my old one was corrupted) I plan to transfer some of the big apps to the card and store my music library on it. The longer I've had this tablet, the more I want to buy it instead of an iPad for my first tablet. Anyone who wants to buy this tablet will need the following: 1. Shockproof silicone case to absorb shock from the tablet if it falls.2. Tempered glass screen protector to prevent screen breaking.3. 64GB micro SD card to store most of your music, photos and apps.
