Review on Membrane Solutions Replacement Compatiable CB1 SED10 BB Filtration by Christopher Sullivan

Revainrating 5 out of 5

50 micron ideal for heavy deposits, not good for drinking bad spring water

We don't DRINK well water. We have terrible mud and iron plus sulfur problems. Our entire home system consists of aeration through an externally vented storage tank, then sediment filtration, and then a softener. I used TSC 30 micron polywool filters purchased locally. $15 apiece. Those 50 microns work just as well and last LONGER. There is no noticeable difference in water quality compared to a 30 micron multi-layer coil. As I said, we don't drink our well water. This applies exclusively to washing clothes and dishes. 50 is not enough to drink. We haven't had it in 30. But I like these, they cost $5 less per filter than TSC 30 and last a month longer. I change every 2 months, not every month. We have a shard dispenser and 5 gallon reusable jugs for drinking water. I am very happy with these filters.

Pros
  • 3-6 MONTHS LIFE - Filters up to 30,000 gallons of water. The filter performance and the change cycle depend on the quality of the supply water and the operating time/use of the filters per day. Filters should be changed regularly to improve water quality.
Cons
  • Bad instruction
