So this design has been around for a long time; The ribbed model with a plastic handle has been a staple in repair shops for centuries. This model goes one step further. First, there's rubber on the grip so the grip is softer and more slip-resistant - the old hard cleats can bite me. My hands are already happy. Second, it's slightly larger in diameter. The downside is that the handle may not fit in your tool bag loops. But - it has better torque. I take it every day. I use mine indoors, have no idea if it will rust in your car (my intuition tells me the parts will rust). I use it all the time. It can work with both small and large screws. If you think it's neat but not sure if it's just a gimmick (like the Swiss Army Hammer Tweezers Axe, lol) - it's not. A screwdriver to control them all. well, most of them.
