This is the best flashlight you can buy for EDC. the ability to attach it to a hat to use it as a headlamp and always have it handy in your pocket. I have used it for ALL occasions where a little more light would be nice. It will light a room and any area well and will work at a distance of 10 to 15 feet, and even if it can't light up an entire open area, animal eyes and reflective materials will glow from quite a distance. One of them has been in very dangerous conditions every day for the last 3 years and he has never let me down. I make them known to everyone. The downside of this is that the jet light due to the lunch changed the design of the rubber boot with the button at the tail and it's almost impossible to push the button all the way down with one hand without making a special maneuver to get around to turn him over . Completely destroys the universality of light. I contacted Streamlight support via email and they sent me an old replacement boot which fixed the issue but we don't have to. That's a great gift.
