This is the best flashlight you can buy for EDC. the ability to attach it to a hat to use it as a headlamp and always have it handy in your pocket. I have used it for ALL occasions where a little more light would be nice. It will light a room and any area well and will work at a distance of 10 to 15 feet, and even if it can't light up an entire open area, animal eyes and reflective materials will glow from quite a distance. Before I start, I should mention that I originally ordered the black version of this Microstream USB flashlight, but it came in an odd white box. This red version came in the correct Streamlight packaging. This is an excellent flashlight. It has two lighting levels: low and high. The first has 50 lumens, the second 250 lumens.
