At first I had my eye on a flawless device with a significant price difference. I like this device because it's relatively cheap and has the size and features I was looking for. This is a very well designed device. I really like the red anodized finish. It's very bright for its size and has a decent beam that sits right in the middle between spotlight and flood. Offers good spatial discrimination but can project a beam at a reasonable distance for its size. The battery life seems to be good. 300 charges and an easy-to-replace lithium-ion battery. I can't say anything about the durability, but I think this lamp is fantastic. The switch is poorly constructed and probably an Achilles cure for light. Toggling between high and low and always on is not easy and inconsistent in operation. If it cost more I wouldn't be happy but it's passable. Overall very happy with my purchase.
