Review on Blum 971A9700 22X10 BLUMOTION Cabinet Polybag by Brian Campbell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very good but some issues

I would give 5 starts but these stops should be used with strong self-closing hinges (which I usually had). Out of the first ten I installed, five came in and worked with no problems. The other five required some engineering work as the doors would not close fully. In the description ONLY with self-closing hinges should be strongly recommended. . These plungers require little force to close, but can be adjusted (slid back) on part of the inner door frame to reduce the force required to seat the door. I don't recommend them for regular loops. I suspect some of my self-closing hinges just weren't strong enough to seat the door in the frame, as some of the comments mentioned. Adjusting the clamp screw did not completely solve the problem. I had to make some adjustments, mostly moving it back a bit (the edge isn't on the frame as the instructions suggest). This only happened on a few doors. As there is no guide for this (I found it easily online) and most importantly no troubleshooting advice that would be helpful as well. Once I installed them properly, they worked pretty damn well I have to say. When I was building my house 15 years ago, a cabinet supplier offered hinges with this property. But the cost would be an extra $50 for each door! I have 25 cupboard doors in my kitchen! I'm glad I waited because these doorstops are worth the price. Another note on the guide: what to do with corner cabinets? I have two of these and need to insert a piece of wood to create a vertical surface for the screw. It would be nice if the missing instructions mentioned this. For your health.
