## Benefits ##* Price. Serious. Especially if they're doing a promo (I got this with a $30 discount coupon, so the net value was $164 before tax). * Image clarity * Resolution * Connection options (plus included cables) # # Cons # # * Brightness is significantly lower than most laptop monitors. When connected to my 2015 MacBook Pro, it's much less bright and the colors are less saturated. But even with those bumps, it becomes my main monitor when plugged in just for the resolution (the resolution is slightly better than my 15-inch laptop screen). This allows me to fit more code, content, etc. on the monitor. screen, and it's a big improvement. * Rocker for settings controls. This is forgivable as settings are saved between sessions unlike many other portable monitors. I just prefer a set of buttons to a rocker switch that you have to press to dig through menus. The build quality of the rocker seems poor, but as I said, I very rarely have to use it, so it's not a big issue with the second screen. The fact that it has a better resolution than the screen built into my MacBook is an even bigger bonus. The case makes portability easy and setup familiar (feels like an iPad when you put it on a stand). Very happy with this purchase. Note: My MacBook often seems to have trouble detecting HDMI-connected displays. I have to go into the display settings and press the alt key to open the "detect ads" button and click on it. This usually solves the problem.
