Review on Makita VC4210L Gallon Filter Extractor by Christopher Buck

Revainrating 5 out of 5

sucks. but seriously, he does what he has to do.

It's vacuum, it sucks. :p But seriously, it works fine in our little shop. Good suction power, much quieter than the shop vacuum it replaced and runs quietly and easily. The infamous knock that people complain about is definitely there, but you can turn it off very easily by turning the knob another click. I also like the speed control, if you don't need more airflow and need a quieter environment you can turn the speed down. Most vacuums with HEPA filters tend to be noisy and shrill when the pressure is trying to push through the HEPA filter. This device handles that much better since it's designed for HEPA and not just as a last minute add-on. Comes fairly pre-assembled, you really just assemble the hose holders and slip the bag in. and good to go. Instructions for setting up and using are really literally pictures with almost nothing written on them. The manual comes in many languages, eg 25-30 or so. and it's about 3/4 inch thick, but each language is only about 10 pages long. It could really be scraped off, SO much waste of paper.

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • A little wrinkled
