Review on πŸ”§ Mastech MS8268: The Ultimate Digital Multimeter Meter for AC/DC Auto/Manual Range Measurements by Nigel Cohen

Revainrating 4 out of 5

very inexpensive yet reliable DVM

I lost my expensive Fluke at work so I bought this one which had more features that would be useful to me than a Fluke meter. It can read frequencies, diodes, capacitors, volts, amps up to 10 amps. In automatic mode, it fluctuates, but once you start reading actual voltages, it stabilizes. It doesn't seem to falter in manual mode. For the price it couldn't be better. He's pretty accurate in what he says. One thing I thought was cool is that the meter wire holes light up so you know where to connect the meter wires for a specific meter configuration. He's bright red. It seems to be built pretty solid. Green plastic is not a cover but part of the meter body. It uses 3 AAA batteries. So far I've used all of the meter's functions at work except for adjusting the amps. One of the most valuable is the Hz setting, which for me is invaluable for checking whether the board is communicating or not. I would buy this DVM again in a heartbeat if anything happened to what I have now.
