Review on 221376 Sliding Drawer Track Glides by Slide Co by Charles Lewellen

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This patent was issued in 1963 and primarily covers a slot over the rail hole to allow for easy alignment during assembly.

I bought these to replace furniture that was over 40 years old and they are an exact replacement. The manual is labeled Ronthor Reiss Corp NYC, R-40-28, and PAT. NO. 3201187'. Exactly the same wording as the original instructions, in a slightly different font and shape lines. Without putting them side by side you wouldn't know they weren't taken apart by a few minutes. Each package contained one (1) white plastic drawer slide, two "L" shaped side rails, and four knobs. Issued in 1963, this patent mainly covers the groove over the pilot hole that allows for easy alignment during assembly, as well as some weak claims about the use of self-lubricating plastic. This is the same item sold under different brands. I recently bought a Prime Line R-7221 in a set of 2. This time I bought eight of these individual packs from Grady's Online because the total price was a bit lower. There is no difference except for the packaging.

Pros
  • Made of white polyethylene
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
