Great product and well made, that's why it gets 5 stars, but the fact that there are no instructions is stupid. So I'll do her job. Nut and Crossbar (leave the driver's side crossbar attached), install the new bracket and crossbar bolt/nut and tighten (where the brace still has some movement). The bracket moves a little, rotates it counter-clockwise and marks the drill hole. Drill a hole for the new (short) bolt to fit tightly, after drilling, install the bolt, washers and nut and tighten together with the first bolt. At this point you can see that the crossbar is NOT aligned with the hole in the bracket. I use a ratchet strap and pull the axle to one side or the other so the hole lines up. Once they are aligned, install the new bolt and washers and nut and tighten. Please note that the vehicle frame must be on stands and securely fastened.
