Review on 💧 AquaClear Powerhead 30 - 110 V: Boosting Water Flow with 175 GPH by Ashley Grant

**I didn't get the model shown in the picture with the green power knob easily found in the center of the power head. Be aware that while the functionality, flow rate etc. may be the same you might end up with a slightly older model - on the other hand my model has all the black elements and fades more easily without the yellow and green elements** This one item works great. Much better than the Penguin version I had before (the impeller started making an awful noise a week after using it). I use it as a CO2 injector/disperser and it releases tiny bubbles and creates a nice smooth flow. The adjustable flow rate is great so I don't overwater my plants with water. I also like that the flex pipe air intake is slightly oval which means your airline will be harder to insert but won't fall out all the time. The deflector part is a little flimsy and not as adjustable/guided as the penguin. You can point it up or down, but the penguin lets you adjust it left, right, up or down without rotating the floor. The flow rate adjustment switch is located on the underside of the head and can be a bit tricky to reach if you want to constantly adjust the flow rate. While not required, it would be great if the power head snapped onto the suction cup instead of sliding inward. While cleaning the tank, we accidentally knocked out the power head and it fell on the floor.
