Review on ๐Ÿชจ Super Cast Stone Coat Countertops by Scott Welch

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Ultra-thin, polymerizes forever.

I received this product and it was very thin. I stirred for 6 minutes then poured it out but it looked like water and just seeped through my mold. I waited 24 hours and poured more and the same thing happened. It leaked out immediately and then took over 24 hours to heal. I've had success with other resins and used the same mold on another table where I used regular casting resin. The standard casting resin was thick enough that it didn't spill while waiting on the table, and I lost very little resin when casting an area of the same size. I called Stone Coat to see if I could get my money back for unopened items or if I could just exchange it for regular casting resin and they said no and wouldn't help. This resin is more expensive than other resins and the customer service or product quality is not worth the extra money.

Pros
  • USE WITH EPOXY STONE COAT. For added durability, be sure to apply an additional coat of Art Coat or Stone Coat Epoxy to your project surface. So you can better protect your surface from everyday wear and tear!
Cons
  • Wrinkled packaging
