Worth the money

Some say it's poor quality. I think it depends on your point of view. You can purchase an OEM coil pack for between $50 and $110 depending on whether you shop online or at your local parts store. You can buy one of these, which I'm reviewing, for $23, or a pack of 6 for $80. I chose 8 packs. Why? Some reviews said they bought 6 to replace in their car and one or two were bad. And they complained. Firstly, I've never seen you NEED to replace 6 in your car. Any mechanic who says if you replace one you have to replace all 6, they want your money. So basically I bought 6 of these for the price of 1 OEM. So by replacing what I needed, I'm practically breaking even. If one or two were bad, I still felt better financially. If I have to replace the second or third coil on my Lexus, then I already have spare parts on hand and don't have to buy them later. Replace all 6 coils in your car, the main thing to consider is labor. To replace 3 at the front of the engine literally takes about 2 minutes each. The Royal PITA serves as a replacement for the 3rd motor in the body. You will probably spend around 2-3 hours on this if you have enough YouTube videos to understand how to do it. There are multiple possibilities; between removing the intake manifold and being able to work while keeping the manifold on. Watch different videos. So since it takes so long, you can do all 3 while you're there. So you spend $600 at your local auto parts store for 6 sets of coils? You can at least save some money and buy original reels on Amazon for $60-$70 each. This will save you about $200-$250. But it will still cost you $350-$450 for the reels. You could have this done at the dealer. In that case, they will definitely charge you around $1,000 for parts and labor. In the end it all depends on your point of view. It was a no-brainer for me to buy 6 of these for the price of 1 OEM. It's been about a month since a coil was replaced. After putting it in I was able to reset the DTC and my car ran great again. Went from 19-20mpg in the city With a faulty coil pack; returned to 23-24mpg city with the replaced coil pack. If I have to replace the 2nd or 3rd in time I have a 50/50 chance it will be number 2, 4 or 6. That's 2 minutes. Work. If it's one of the back 3 I need to reserve a Saturday and do it. As long as the replaced one is hanging there, I have no hesitation in using the ones bought here in the back row. If I encounter any issues with the one I have installed I will update my review. But for now it's a great product at a great price. Couldn't be happier.
