When turning the motor manually I felt it was tight during part of each revolution. After installation, I made sure the fan blades weren't touching anything. I wired it up making sure the load wire (black) from the motor was connected to the temperature switch output and the neutral (white) wire from the fan was connected to the circuit white wire. After switching on, the fan turned a quarter of a turn, then stopped and didn't turn any further. Again, by rotating the fan manually, I made sure the blades didn't hit anything. I think it's a defective motor. Revane's return process was easy and hassle-free.
