Review on ๐ŸŒž Enhanced UV Curing with SUNLU Standard Photopolymer: A Breakthrough Solution by David Gonzalez

Great SLA resin! Very inexpensive compared to many others I've used

I'm very happy with the results I've had with this resin! Verified by printing various thumbnails, some unsupported, some pre-supported (from a recent Kickstarter campaign) and a few models that I had to support myself. All prints are excellent with the smallest details clearly visible even in the smallest pieces. Overall I would happily buy and use this resin again. It is very easy to work with and the printed thumbnails now look and feel great on the table! It's worth noting that the bottle is the highest quality of any resin I've purchased. The pour spout has a plastic liner that pours well without too much resin running down the side of the bottle like some others I've used, so minimal cleaning is required after filling the vat in the middle of a print. And you can shake the bottle without covering the cap with a paper towel and worrying about resin leaking out from under the cap. Proofs in my photos were cut in Chitubox and then printed on Photon S with an exposure time of 7.2 seconds. The models were washed and cured with isopropyl alcohol, then lightly sprayed with Vallejo primer to reveal detail. (They then found their way to our table, where they were promptly dispatched from our adventure party!) The print settings for my test prints were as follows: Printer: Anycubic Photon Layer Height: 0.05 Exposure Time: 7 seconds. Time: 45 seconds Lifting height: 5 mm Lifting speed: 45 mm/min

Pros
  • 3D printing consumables
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
