Review on Cygolite Dash Resistant Rechargeable Headlight by Marcus Hardin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Compact and versatile

Ideal for daytime visibility and when you get caught in the dark. Does not replace more powerful lights designed for night driving. Small and lightweight, very easy to attach and remove. Among the 8 modes, you're sure to find a mode that suits your conditions. Standard micro USB charging port. It remembers the last used mode when you turn it on. This is the only "rubber band" light I could find that attaches to flat aero bars. However, a small change was needed (see photo). A piece of foam rubber sealing tape attached to the sealing ring lifts the small hook so the rubber band is secure and the light is at the right angle. The weight is 75 grams. I'm 79, pretty close. The instructions are minimal and disappointing. In the function description box, the modes are described vaguely but in the wrong order. There are two sets of lights: 1. A row of 4 at the top (Quad); 2. A single lantern of much larger size under the array (main). What does each set do in each mode? It is: mode name/description/runtimeLow. Both sets are always included. 10 hours mean. Both sets are always included. 3 hours. High. Both sets are always included. 1.5 hour continuous heart rate. The quad indicators are solid, the main indicator flashes 3 times. 3 hours. Quad DRL Lights. Always only four headlights. 8.5 hours Firmware Quad DRL. Only 4 lights, blinks 3 times. Day 63 Lightning. Both sets blink 3 times. 9 hours acceleration. Double-click the button in any mode to get the full 460 lumens. Both sets are permanent. Press again to return to the previous mode. Each key press switches to the next mode. Double tap in any mode to turn on turboDRL = daytime running lights. I use DayLightning mode for daytime driving. The main light is quite strong and I find this mode the safest option for being seen by approaching cars.
