I'd hoped for the receivers to provide a louder alert than they do, but each sensor can be paired to multiple receivers, so buying several sets allows placing receivers wherever needed to be audible. Moreover, there are 58 different alert tones, so programming each receiver to tie the same tone to a given sensor means they all play the same unique tone for whatever sensor is activated. Three pairs means three receivers distributed around my house so one is always in earshot; three sensors means I hear a different alert from the driveway, front door, or back door. VERY handy, and easily set up to boot!
