Review on πŸ”ͺ KNIPEX Carpenters' End Cutting Pliers (5001210): Efficient Tool for Precision Cutting by Melvin Balamani

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Amazing Accuracy. for power tools

I will be the first to review this pliers and it will be biased. I only bought these pliers because they remind me of the first tools I used as a kid (hammer, pliers and tongs). I've never seen them in hardware stores here in the US and I don't need them. But they bring back so many memories that I had to buy them. That's five stars. But after receiving them I actually took the time to inspect them and was blown away by the quality and attention to detail that Knipex put into them. I wouldn't expect "accuracy" or anything like that from this tool as they were made for a specific purpose. They don't get stuck when opening the handles, even at the maximum angle, but they don't hang around either. Tried turning the handles sideways (perpendicular to the opening angle - there was no "backlash" at all - NOTHING. This interested me even more, so I found a medium sized nail and checked how well they cut. Click - it cut the arms Effortlessly cut thing in half. Then I looked through the pines to see how the tips on both pine leaves lined up - and I couldn't see a beam of light through them. This is only possible if they either overlap (more likely) or they were really perfectly aligned (much less likely.) So I examined the blade tips with a magnifying glass and they looked perfect. Then I look through my 10x jeweler's loupe - and they're still perfectly aligned.right on top of each other Okay, then found I took a piece of tissue paper (the smallest I could think of at the time) and put it between the blades h, no tears, no tears Damn it, Knipex, I'm going to have some more pliers order from you, although I meant Gedore or Hazet.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
