Thin metal = heat spots appear.
Serves its purpose. However, after 2 weeks of use, heat spots started appearing on the sides (due to heat I think) causing discoloration. I now have 2 fist sized coral pink patches on the sides. It's made of very thin metal and requires a potholder for pouring as the handle gets very hot. You get what you pay for. If color is important to you, opt for a silver finish or buy something heavier.
