My son rode his bike back to uni. While it's handy for maintenance, I didn't want a "quick release (QR) of everything" if he were to park the thing on campus where people seem to be grabbing something just because it's easy to remove. There's nothing special about his bike, but riding your bike home after someone knocked over your seat isn't fun at all. He remembers to take it off and carry it with him EVERY TIME. it probably won't happen. I replaced the QR connectors on his seatpost and front wheel on his bike with these in about 15 minutes - the rear wheel on his bike doesn't use a QR skewer so we left it alone. At least it's harder for someone else to remove them now, which is the best I can hope for.
