Ordered to power my German 220v mini component hi-fi system which requires around 220w constant (minimum) and is powered by two sockets. I'm interested in the Seyas 500W because it has two international sockets, making an extension cord redundant, at least for the foreseeable future. The 500 watts of power seemed safe for my application and based on the good reviews (and yes I thought it was interesting that this item was patented) I decided to order it. Well what am I thinking? Firstly, the item has an updated brand name which is not shown here. It looks similar but the logo has been updated and the whole thing looks prettier. This means I was a bit surprised by the packaging presentation. that is, it is professional and therefore perfectly ordinary. So far, so good! The item itself looks well constructed and appears as if metal has been used for all of its facets. Feel and action of all moving parts are good. The power cable is thick and stable. Everything about the appearance of an item assumes an expected level of quality good enough to be invisible, which I think should be. International standard sockets fit freely on my German plugs as others have commented. They stay ok on their own, but they're loosened into a "trigger," meaning they freely dislodge the plug from the socket if it gets stuck. If you have a cat and your cat finds this new object interesting, your cat need only touch the inserted plugs to loosen them enough to cut off the electricity; very dramatic! With my converter under my desk and my back to the wall, I found that even kicking it with my outstretched foot was enough to possibly unplug it to the point of power failure. is not suitable for disturbing melodies or transmitting electricity! My solution to this is to rotate the transducer so it faces away from me. This makes it difficult to access sockets (in case I need to access them), but it's the only solution that I don't think will affect the safe operation of the product. Are all sockets of this type equipped with German plugs? I do not know. Not knowing, I'll give Seyas the leap of faith until I find out otherwise. Many people commented on how cool this item works. The product may get slightly warm after long-term use, which seems normal. While many electronic devices are designed to operate at higher temperatures than many people experience with them, this is not one of them. You might not even know it's on at all if you were to rely solely on your temperature perception to tell you if it's on. As for actual performance, well. a few weeks and everything seems to be healthy. My devices are happy, they work! Job Complete! And I will *buy* an additional converter from the same company if needed.
