So first let me say this is my husband's account. I (his wife) leave this review. I tend to forget lol. Go ahead, the screws, at least for connecting the legs to the metal part, should be longer. In my opinion, you really only need 1 long screw for this. Second, the screw holes need to be slightly larger to accommodate the thicker part of the screw so the top of the screw lines up better with the metal part. The problem is that when you connect the piece of metal to furniture or whatever you're legging, this creates a surface that isn't exactly flat. Otherwise there are no real complaints. It worked for what I needed it for. My furniture is from big batches (laughs), so I know if it falls down later, it's the chipboard furniture, not the legs. As I said I would use longer screws to attach the leg to the metal part and POSSIBLY some longer screws to attach the leg to your furniture. I think the reason they chose such short screws is so you don't run into the problem of too long screws screwing too deep into the furniture and sticking out the other side if that makes sense.
