Review on Bosch DSB5013P Daredevil Spade - 13 Piece Set for Ultimate Drilling Efficiency by Jeb Moorehead

I find the design of these blades really imperfect. The tip is threaded so it penetrates the wood and pulls it in as you cut. It's just really hard on my drill bit and the drill bit can't spin fast and actually cut through the wood - it just rips it out of the wood. The cutting edge of the bit is actually nice and sharp and has a unique and beautifully sculpted shape, but the carving is just plain stupid. My drill bit was hot on the outside after using it for a few minutes and cutting through about 3 2x4 1 1/8 bits. It only creates strong torque for the drill instead of gradually cutting through it. I mean maybe you should use an impact wrench but it just doesn't make clean holes. Maybe just to drill a hole ASAP, I don't know. I've thought about getting a grinder and smoothing out the threads but I don't think it's worth it so I'll just have to buy another set with a traditional design. Damn.
