I took this storage bag on a trip to the Sierra Nevada and it snowed and rained and snowed. Waterproof, sure, but feels significantly heavier after exposure to the elements. Big capacity. You could probably use it as emergency shelter for 1 person (like a spacious bivouac). The only thing that confuses me is that the straps aren't snug enough on the roof rails so had to be wrapped around and tied in a knot after the zipper. Comes with velcro straps to keep the risers from dangling while riding. Also, one of the buckles was reversed and had to be reversed to fasten properly. I tried taking it off the strap and moving it, but couldn't do it without cutting off the end of the hook/loop (which kept the buckle from slipping off the strap). Overall not bad as I bought it used but nothing I would pay full price for.
