This product might be big and bulky, but it saved my life while I was on the Canadian leg of my move from Alaska to Texas. My car had a rollover accident and was found full. I took this storage bag on a trip to the Sierra Nevada and it snowed and rained and snowed. Waterproof, sure, but feels significantly heavier after exposure to the elements. Big capacity. You could probably use it as emergency shelter for 1 person (like a spacious bivouac). The only thing that confuses me is that the straps aren't snug enough on the roof rails so had to be wrapped around and tied in a knot after the zipper. Comes with velcro straps to keep the risers from dangling while riding.

I love this bag. Since I don't have a roof rack, I used a door mount. The clips and straps are very durable. I have a Hyundai SanteFe and took my boys on a road trip through New York, New York and Maine. Has driven about 1600 km, no cracks or scratches. I only gave it 4 stars because it's not fully waterproof. Simply place your belongings in these durable, oversized bin liners when you want to keep your belongings dry.
