I have a 2007 K3500 4 wheel drive that is used to haul sea containers which is of course a significant burden. Due to the weight of the containers and trailers, I found that the auxiliary springs on the truck were being pushed to their limits, which was evidenced by the "shiny spot" on the springs. Once the airbags were installed, the difference in suspension was immediately noticeable in both handling and ride. The AIR LIFT 72000 Wireless Air Leveling Compressor - [also installed] allows me to get away from the truck and trailer and level the load perfectly. No more uneven squatting on the back of the truck when under load. Incidentally, the installation took about 5 hours with a truck on the lifting platform. The instructions provided were pretty good, but be prepared to take the extra time to find the correct positions for your compressor and valve assembly, and make sure the air lines are as secure as possible. since the truck is already having a pretty rough ride, but now, even with a full container load, the truck and trailer are deadlocked at 45psi. Another advantage is the loading and unloading of the trailer - with or without a container on the trailer. When I'm ready to detach from the trailer, I simply inflate the bags to 100psi and then lower the trailer chassis. After a few turns, with the mounts under load, I deflate the bolsters again, allowing the truck to drop the ball. Certain savings in time and wear and tear on the trailer chassis, not to mention my hands. With the gooseneck tongue estimated to weigh over 4,000 pounds, this really works like a charm. Reverse loading - center the gooseneck over the ball and inflate. If you haul heavy loads - even part-time - this is a great addition to your truck.
