Garland garlands look great
Icicle lamps look great, in contrast to the cheap looking icicles some stores sell. i have cool white The only downside is that they get tangled easily in light winds, but can also be easily untangled with a long pole. Update: 1 star deducted because while these lights look great, they can also easily get blown onto the roof and get stuck in a ditch. A long pole is needed to retrieve them. But if that happens during a snowfall, they freeze to the roof. If you live in a windy area I wouldn't recommend them.
