2 for $12 was worth a try. Just installed 1 today on my 75 gallon reef for extra surface propulsion. It works surprisingly well, moving water once it's been a minor deadlock. It moves water at least halfway through a 48-inch tank. My only concern is durability, but if it lasts a year or so I think it's worth the purchase price. Consumes only 3 watts so I connected it to my battery. Backup in case of failure. Installed both on my 75g display after 1 month. I'm still very impressed with them for $$ if I have to replace them every 6 months I'm still happy. Still no problem.
