EIT Urban Mobility ambitious projection
EIT Urban Mobility is an initiative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT).
Since January 2019 we have been working to foster positive changes in the way companies
people move through cities to make them more livable places. Our objetive
is to become the largest European initiative for the transformation of urban mobility.
Co-financing of up to € 400 million (2020-2026) from the EIT, a body of the European Union,
will help make this happen.
This partnership is about inspiring and enabling the shift towards more livable urban spaces,
dedicated entrepreneurial talent and competitive mobility businesses. Together, our goal is to build
a prosperous future for our cities.
An innovation community will be created to educate and inspire mobility solutions
for 21 st century cities. We will avoid fragmentation by encouraging all actors
of urban mobility to work together, with cities and citizens at their center,
and increase social inclusion and equality.
