I bought these to put in a closet with no light. Night light everywhere, 3 pack lights and they were too dim. When I touch the case, it turns on (sometimes has to I wave my hand) and turns itself off automatically. Okay, and he's doing his job. I would have preferred a brighter LED (especially for using 4AA batteries). The Amazon listing says it's 35 lumens, the paper on the box says 40 (so what's Mr. Beams?) To insert/swap batteries, the light moves in half. That's not so easy when you reach for the ceiling, which is only held in place by adhesive tape. Overall I'd say this is a decent compact light for creating soft light in small areas. be brighter, easier to replace batteries after installation, and display the correct lumens.
