Review on πŸ”Œ Simran AC-500 Step up Down Transformer: Efficient 110 to 220 Voltage Power Converter, 500 Watt, Black by Manny Darawi

That works for a while.

This product worked in my kitchen for a while, powering a small microwave oven. I've noticed that it draws a lot of power even when the microwave isn't running, and I've noticed that it always makes a faint buzz. Due to the hum and power consumption, it typically stays off for 90% of the time it's on the property. Although I bought it in 2015, I had regular outages in 2017 where it stopped working and then mysteriously started working again. Based on what I've read in the 1 star reviews now, it's not surprising that it's not reliable given the number of manufacturing defects we've seen. I hate to say it, but sites like Revain are the problem. We've all bought products at the lowest price so many times that the respected American brands that make durable products are gone. That not only fills the unemployment lines, but also the landfills. Thank goodness I can write this review so you can spend at least a few bucks more on something else. I've gone through all the reviews and haven't found a single product that doesn't have major safety/reliability issues (based on seemingly technical and very reliable reviews) or that is made in the USA. If you're looking to buy a $1,000 medical Tripp-lite, it might be too big for your workspace. This is probably your safest and most reliable option. I'll try Philmore although I don't see any reviews yet.
