I have always loved Oreck vacuums and have bought 2 in the last 25 years. And never had a problem with them. Bought this (more expensive) in March 2020. What a disappointment. After each use, you need to clean the roller of hair and threads. If I don't, there will be a burning smell when I use it next time. I vacuum once a week. We don't have a chaotic household and we don't have a lot of traffic. We have a miniature poodle, a short haired cat and 2 adults. Thank god I have my old Orek as a backup. I've waited too long to return a new one. Don't buy it.
