I love the Clover hooks for their comfortable grip, but I have questions about their size. I had a project that required a 1.75mm hook and specialty thread so I settled on this one. It was an amigurumi so I expected it to be very tight and I tend to work tight anyway, but the hook still felt too small. The piece ended up looking very odd so I started troubleshooting and decided I really needed a bigger hook. I started looking through my hook stash and found a 1.80 boilie. It was the same size as the 1.75 Clover. Knitpicks 2mm hook was a big step up. In the photo, the hook on the right is a Clover 1.75mm and the hook on the left is a 1.75mm hook of unknown origin - I believe it's a German brand. I think this is a lesson in trusting instinct more than hook size. claims to be. I still like the hook, but I have to keep in mind that the Clover seems pretty small.
